Android Pie document reveals 4 variants of Samsung Galaxy S10

Leaked information about Samsung's new flagship cellphone candidate, Galaxy S10, is back in circulation. This time there is an indication that the device is likely to consist of four different versions.

This suspicion arises from the leaked version of the Android 9 Pie firmware file for the Galaxy S10 found by XDA Developer.

The leak shows four device names that are thought to represent Galaxy S10 variants, namely "beyond 0", "beyond 1", "beyond 2", and "beyond 2 5G".

Except for the names of the four devices, no other information can be extracted from the leaked firmware.

The name "beyond 2 5G" might represent the Galaxy S10 variant with 5G connectivity. Previously, rumors had circulated that Samsung would also release the 5G variant from the cellphone.

The number behind the word "beyond" is likely to refer to the screen size of the device. "Beyond 0" may be the name of the smallest device, then "beyond 1" medium-sized device, and "beyond 2" the largest sized device.

Then, there is also the suffix letter "e" or "q" behind the name of each variant which may indicate the type of processor, namely Qualcomm Snapdragon and Exynos from Samsung itself.

According to custom, Samsung seems to be releasing Galaxy S10 with two different types of processors, depending on the marketing area.

Information summarized by Asianews from GSM Arena, Thursday (09/20/2018) states that the Galaxy S10 might be equipped with an Exynos 9820 or Snapdragon 8150 chip. The 5G variant may be added to the Exynos 5100 or Snapdragon X50 5G modem chip.
