Mozilla Launches VR Content Special Browser

Mozilla has just announced the presence of Firefox Reality, a browser specifically designed for virtual reality (VR) content, on Tuesday (09/18/2018).

The Firefox Reality browser is downloadable and can be used on popular VR devices, such as Oculus Rift, HTC Vive, and Google Daydream.

"We are pleased to announce that the first release of Firefox Reality is available at the application store," Mozilla said on its official website.

Unlike conventional browsers, Firefox Reality uses voice controls to navigate. Users can also use a VR controller to navigate the browser.

"Firefox Reality uses our new Quantum engine which is commonly used for mobile browsers. The result is smooth and fast performance that is very important for VR browsers.

To bring VR content to a site, Mozilla builds a technology called WebVR. In the future, Mozilla is developing a technology called WebXR.

Not only that, Mozilla has also created a software called A-frame to encourage content developers to create a 3D world with WebVR.

Currently, only the first version of Firefox Reality is available. But Mozilla promises that Firefox Reality version 1.1 will be released soon
